Turn your analysis into presentation-ready slides using Deepfield's built-in slide builder. Create professional decks with data visualizations, key findings, and formatted text.
Overview
The slide builder provides a drag-and-drop interface similar to presentation tools like Google Slides, but with direct integration to your survey data. Add charts, write content in rich text, and reorder slides to build your presentation.
Accessing the Slide Builder
Navigate to the Analysis tab of your study
Click the Slides button in the toolbar
The slide panel opens with a filmstrip view on the left and main editing area
Creating Slides
Add a New Slide
Click the Add Slide button to create a new slide. Each slide supports:
Title - Headline for the slide
Content - Rich text with markdown formatting
Charts - Up to 4 data visualizations per slide
Slide Layouts
The layout automatically adjusts based on content:
Charts | Layout |
0 | Text-only with centered content |
1 | Chart on left, text on right (50/50) |
2 | Title + text + 2 charts in grid |
3 | Title + text + 3 charts in grid |
4+ | 2×2 grid with pagination controls |

Content Tips
One idea per slide - Keep slides focused
Chart + insight - Don't just show data, explain what it means
Consistent formatting - Use similar layouts for similar content
Limit text - Slides should support your narrative, not replace it
Exporting Slides
Export your completed slide deck for use in presentations:
PowerPoint - Download as .pptx for editing in PowerPoint
PDF - Download as .pdf for sharing or printing
Exports maintain formatting, charts, and layout as closely as possible to the slide builder preview.
💡 Tip: Review your slides in the preview before exporting to ensure charts and text appear as expected.
Troubleshooting
Chart Not Displaying
Ensure the question has responses
Check that filters aren't excluding all data
Verify the breakdown has data in all segments
Layout Issues
Reduce the number of charts if they appear cramped
Simplify text content for better fit
Consider splitting content across multiple slides
Export Problems
Large decks may take longer to generate
Complex charts render more slowly
Try exporting individual slides if the full deck fails
