Panels define who should participate in your study. Set demographics to target the right audience.
What Is a Panel?
A panel is a defined group of participants with:
Target demographics - Age, gender, location
Sample size - How many responses you need
Recruitment settings - How participants are invited
Creating a Panel
Go to the Recruit tab
Click Add Panel
Name your panel (e.g., "US Adults 25-54")
Set demographics
Enter target sample size
Save
Available Demographics
Core Demographics
Criterion | Options |
Age | 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+ |
Gender | Male, Female, Other |
Country | US, Canada, UK, etc. |
Additional Criteria
Depending on settings, you may also target:
Region/State
Income range
Education level
Employment status
Setting Demographics
Select your panel
Click on demographics section
Check criteria you need (leave unchecked for "any")
Select specific values for each criterion
Review estimated incidence
Save

How Demographics Affect Incidence
Each criterion narrows your audience:

All adults | 100% |
Adults 25-44 | ~35% |
Adults 25-44, Female | ~17% |
Adults 25-44, Female, US only | ~5% |

Editing Panels
You can edit panels before publishing. After publishing with responses, editing is limited to protect data consistency.
Demographics vs Screening
Method | When to Use |

Demographic: Ages 25-44, USA
Screening: "Do you own a pet?" (Yes required)
