Filtering Responses

Using Filters

  1. Go to Responses tab

  2. Select filter criteria

  3. Table updates to show matching responses

  4. Clear filters to see all responses again

Common Filter Combinations

For analysis:

  • Status: Completed

  • Quality: High or Medium

For quality review:

  • Status: Completed

  • Quality: Low

For troubleshooting:

  • Status: Abandoned or In Progress

Sorting Options

Response Row

Sort by:

  • Date (newest/oldest)

  • Quality (highest/lowest)

  • Status


Viewing Media Responses

For studies with video or audio questions, play back recordings and read transcripts.

Accessing Media

  1. Find a response with media indicator

  2. Click on the response

  3. Navigate to the media question

  4. Play the recording

Automatic Transcription

All video/audio responses are automatically transcribed:

  • Full text of spoken content

  • Timestamps for navigation

  • Searchable text

  • Click timestamps to jump to that moment

Reviewing Media

💡 Tip: Watch fully at least once. Don't just skim transcripts—non-verbal cues matter.

💡 Tip: Use transcripts for efficiency. Scan transcripts to find relevant sections, then watch those parts.

💡 Tip: Adjust playback speed. Use 1.5x or 2x for faster review.

What to Look For

  • Key statements - Important quotes or insights

  • Emotional reactions - Tone, enthusiasm, hesitation

  • Non-verbal cues - Facial expressions, body language (video)

  • Specific examples - Stories they share


Searching Responses

Search by ID

Find specific responses by:

  • Participant ID

  • Response ID

  • External ID (if provided)

Find Keywords

Use search to locate responses mentioning specific topics.


Working with Filtered Data

Export Filtered Data

  1. Apply your desired filters

  2. Click Export

  3. Choose to export filtered or all

  4. Download your file

Count Verification

When filtered, check:

  • How many responses match criteria

  • What percentage of total

  • Whether you have enough for analysis
