Open-ended questions support three response modes that participants can switch between:

Audio Recording Setup
How It Works
Participant clicks the microphone button
Browser requests microphone permission (first time only)
Recording starts with visual feedback (levels, timer)
Participant clicks stop when finished
Recording uploads automatically

Audio levels: Visual waveform showing input volume
Timer: Recording duration
Stop button: End recording
Playback controls: Review before submitting
Quality Considerations
Minimum 5 seconds recommended
Maximum 5 minutes per response
Recordings are compressed for efficient upload
Transcripts are generated automatically

How It Works

Recording starts with countdown
Participant can re-record if needed

Toggle buttons appear below the question
Click to switch between Text, Audio, Video
Mode persists for that question only
π Note: If a participant starts recording in one mode, they can switch but will lose that recording.
